ASHE Houston

For college students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree and career related to the planning, design,
or construction of highways.
ASHE plans to award three $3,000, two $2,500, and three $2,000 scholarships to eight separate
eligible undergraduate candidates and two $3,000 and two $2,000 scholarships to four separate
eligible graduate candidates.

Eligibility and Instructions:
Enrolled in a college or university located in the state of Texas within the Greater Houston region. Eligible
universities include Prairie View A&M, Rice University, Texas Southern University, University of Houston
(including all Houston area branches), The University of Texas at Tyler (Houston Engineering Center), Sam
Houston State University, and Lamar University. For inquiry on eligibility of other Greater Houston area
colleges or universities, please email the scholarship committee.
2. Enrolled in an undergraduate (e.g., BS) or graduate degree program (e.g., MS or PhD) related to
transportation planning/engineering/construction.
3. Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student for the Fall 2026 semester.
4. Must not be on academic probation.
5. Must not have already received an ASHE scholarship in a prior year.

2. Complete the application. The application must be typed, and your responses cannot exceed the
space provided.
3. Attach a copy of your current (Spring 2026) transcripts.
If Awarded:
I understand that if offered an award I must enroll, or be enrolled, in a highway industry related curriculum as a
full-time undergraduate or graduate student for the Fall 2026 semester in order to receive the award. Selected
applicants will be notified, and scholarships will be presented at the September 10, 2026 ASHE Houston Section
Meeting Luncheon (info at Events – ASHE Houston). By signing, I grant permission to have information about this
award shared with members of ASHE as well as the public.
Note: Application and transcripts must be received by noon August 14, 2026, to be considered for the
Scholarship Award. The completed application along with the transcripts, should be e-mailed to the ASHE
