About the Scholarship

Old Man International Sideband Society (OMISS) Scholarship provides financial assistance to licensed radio amateurs who are interested in studying a field of STEM in college.

Requirements
This program is open to licensed radio amateurs of general class or higher.
Applicants must be enrolled at an accredited 4year college or university and majoring in a field of STEM. Along with their application, they must submit an essay on the role amateur radio has played in their lives and provide documentation of financial need.
Special consideration is given to adult applicants beginning or returning to school and to prior recipients reapplying for an additional year.
