Rex Mosser Foundation Scholarship

SUMMARY:
Greater Houston Community Foundation offers full-service management of scholarship programs to help donors open the door to academic success for Houston students. We administer a variety of unique scholarship funds that grant over $5 million annually to college students. Together, we can make a greater impact on a new generation of leaders.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Applicant must be an employee or child or grandchild of an employee at Myrex Industries
o Current employee is defined as a full-time employee at the time of the application deadline date
• Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or equivalent, a previous high school graduate, a GED recipient, or a current college or trade school student
o Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply
• Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted)
o Please review this guide for instructions on converting your GPA to a 4.0 scale. GPA should be rounded to two decimal points.
• Applicant must pursue a degree from an accredited trade school, college or university

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Multiple scholarships awarded annually
• Award amount varies by college/degree type:
o 4 year college/university, trade school, or graduate school: $3,000 for the spring 2026 semester
o 2 year college: $1,500 for the spring 2026 semester
• Students may reapply as long as they are eligible
• Course load requirement while in college:
o Minimum of 12 hours per semester for full-time students
o Minimum of 6 hours per semester for employees enrolled part-time
