Northwest Houston Center Graduate Scholarship
Recommendation Required
SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA – APPLIES TO ALL APPLICANTS
• The scholarship is available to U.S. Resident, Permanent Resident and eligible non-citizens
• The scholarship is designed to ease student financial burden related to their study.
• The scholarship covers costs up to $2,000 per semester or $4,000 per academic year for 6 hours only
at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Students must be enrolled in at least 2 courses (6 SCH) at NWHC during a long semester (fall,
spring).
• Scholarships will be strategically awarded to support all degree programs at the NWHC.
• Scholarships are competitive and merit-based.
• Students must be new to NWHC programs to be eligible.
• Scholarship recipients must seek and gain admission (goapplytexas.org) to their program of choice.
• The scholarship is generally unavailable in summer. If funds become available, scholarships will be
awarded in summer on a limited basis.
• The scholarship can be combined with another scholarship following guidelines from the financial aid
office.
GRADUATE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP (not available to EMBA students)
Scholarship is limited to students in NWHC programs only.
First-time applicants must have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00.
Scholarships may be available on a competitive basis to continuing students who have done well
(GPA of 3.50 or higher). Achieving the minimum GPA of 3.50 does not guarantee a continuing
scholarship
