2024-2025 UNCF Chevron Corporate Scholars

SUMMARY:
The 2024-2025 UNCF Chevron Corporate Scholars Program is a selective scholarship program that advances higher education for passionate and determined students. The UNCF Chevron Corporate Scholars Program will award a two-year renewable scholarship to highly capable future leaders who demonstrate academic achievement, strong leadership skills and an interest in the energy industry. Students accepted to this program will participate in a comprehensive career development and readiness curriculum and will be considered for internship opportunities with Chevron the summer following both their freshmen and sophomore years of college.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Be a U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, national of the United States
Be enrolled as a first-year student in Fall 2024
Be enrolled full time at an HBCU during Fall 2024 semester
Have a minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA on an unweighted 4.0 scale
Preferred majors: Geology, Geophysics, Petrophysics, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Marine Engineering, Materials Engineering/Science, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Software Engineering, Construction Management, Naval Architecture, Mathematics / Statistics, Computer Science, Computation & Applied Mathematics, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Management of Information Systems, Public Affairs, Procurement/Supply Chain Management, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety, Social Policy, Political Science, International Relations & Global Studies, Government Relations, Public Relations, Media, Communications, Marketing
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Students must submit their online applications through the UNCF scholarship site. Applicants must:

Submit a resume displaying, leadership, volunteer opportunities, extracurricular activities and any additional activities/projects, groups, or clubs, demonstrating an interest in the majors outlined in the application
Include your accomplishments/experiences in the STEM field when completing the online application
Submit two essays. The essays should describe your interest in the energy industry and your goals as an emerging leader.
