• Applicant must be a Texas resident
• Applicant must be involved in an extracurricular activity that is university recognized
• Applicant must be the first child to attend college
• Applicant must demonstrate a financial need through the FAFSA
• Scholarship recipients must be Jack Yates High School graduates (Houston)
